Issu d\u2019une famille de passionn\u00e9s de sport automobile, il est le fils de <strong data-start=\"1027\" data-end=\"1047\">Patrick Bourdais<\/strong>, qui participa \u00e0 plusieurs \u00e9ditions des 24 Heures du Mans. Vers l\u2019\u00e2ge de <strong data-start=\"1121\" data-end=\"1132\">dix ans<\/strong>, S\u00e9bastien d\u00e9bute le <strong data-start=\"1154\" data-end=\"1165\">karting<\/strong> et conna\u00eet rapidement le succ\u00e8s :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1204\" data-end=\"1281\">Vainqueur de la ligue de karting Maine-Bretagne en 1991 et 1993<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1284\" data-end=\"1351\">4\u1d49 place au Championnat de France Cadets la m\u00eame ann\u00e9e (1993)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1806\">\u00c0 <strong data-start=\"1355\" data-end=\"1368\">seize ans<\/strong>, il passe aux monoplaces en int\u00e9grant la <strong data-start=\"1410\" data-end=\"1428\">Formula Campus<\/strong> en 1995. L\u2019ann\u00e9e suivante, il dispute le <strong data-start=\"1470\" data-end=\"1514\">Championnat de France de Formule Renault<\/strong> et termine <strong data-start=\"1526\" data-end=\"1543\">vice-champion<\/strong> en 1997, apr\u00e8s avoir remport\u00e9 <strong data-start=\"1574\" data-end=\"1592\">quatre courses<\/strong> et obtenu <strong data-start=\"1603\" data-end=\"1626\">cinq pole positions<\/strong>.
